Introducing the Arts Award
The Arts Award is a nationally recognised accredited qualification, overseen by Trinity College London and supported by Arts Council England.
Christina is a trained advisor and able to work with children and young people between the ages of 11 and 25 to complete the Arts Award at Bronze or Silver level.
The Arts Award can be tailored to fit the interests of each individual, but each level deals with four main areas:
- taking part in the Arts
- experiencing the Arts by being in an audience
- learning about other creative people
- sharing your skills with others
The Arts Award scheme has been a resounding success and is growing rapidly across the UK. As well as inspiring young people to engage with the Arts, taking the award can help develop self-esteem and confidence, and also lead to wider opportunities in terms of careers later in life. A selection of young people have shared their experiences of doing the Arts Award here: http://www.artsaward.org.uk/site/?id=1921
