“As part of an team which organises events for a women’s group at our church I have been responsible for ‘booking’ Christina’s services on a number of occasions. To say that she has done ‘talks’ for us would be a massive understatement.....her sessions are interactive, involving props, food and quizzes, there’s an opportunity to dress up in costume, have your photograph taken (and printed in sepia, of course!). I can truly say that in the hands of Christina, history comes alive and becomes, not just interesting, but fascinating and relevant, too. Her passion for history really shines through and it inevitably rubs off on her audience. Highly recommended!”
- Issy Murphy, Committee member of Active8 Women's Group, Norwich
"Christina makes the past spring to life. See it, feel it, experience it, understand it!" - Tom Chapman, Pastor at Surrey Chapel, Norwich |
"Christina's presentation of the history of Norwich was dynamic, interactive and hugely engaging. The group really got involved, and enjoyed every minute of it. Getting painted with woad was a highlight for me personally!" - Joel Callow, Staff Worker at Friends International, Norwich |
"It is always a pleasure working with Christina. Her attention to detail, adaptability and historical knowledge is only out weighed by her passion, fun and ability to engage students of many ages and academic levels. Christina is on the top of my list for freelancers at Dragon Hall because she is committed to striving for excellence in whatever role she takes on. Her warmth and care with students is clearly genuine and her sessions are always a joy to be part of. On top of all that, my word, she is brilliant in a crisis, especially when stucco gets lumpy and won't dry or costumes simply won't go over a child's head! I'm sure when you work with her she will explain just what that means!" - Sarah Power, Heritage Engagement Manager at Dragon Hall, Norwich |
Christina has visited our day centre for the elderly for 3 stimulating sessions. The mix of history- the interesting bits! and interaction and craft activities work well, generating conversation, memories and enjoyable afternoons that are very popular with mixed clientele. We are hoping she will come again soon! - Julia Jones, Organiser at Edith Cavell Day Centre, Swardeston |
